Miss Deco = Klein-Adler

Whereas Art Nouveau with its luxurious embellishments, puts nature on a pedestal, a generation later, Art Deco glorifies the streamlined, mechanical world. As from 1925, geometrical shapes, clearly defined angles and flat surfaces are central.
Just compare models1 and 2 of the Klein-Adler:
 

 

Simplicity in abundance

Timeless designs such as these colorful Olivetti's from the beginning of the nineteen thirties, are created by the consequent use of a simple play of lines. Isn't it amazing that these machines are three quarters of a century old?
